About Us

Welcome to the 2017/18 Walnut Grove Intermediate School Website. We are so glad that you are visiting our site, and even more excited about the opportunities and offerings we have for your children. Walnut Grove is a 7th and 8th grade Intermediate School that has less than 450 students. We are proud to be a small school where every student is known and taken care of academically and socially. We have a fabulous staff of teachers and support personnel that take interest in each of your children's' academic progress and personal maturity. We look forward to supporting students to do more deep reading, writing and discussing as we prepare them for both college and career. Please explore our website and you will find a wealth of information from teacher's assignments to activity and sports schedules.  If you have any questions, concerns, or feedback for us please contact us through the website e-mail. Thank you, and enjoy the site.

Weekly Message

Good Afternoon Walnut Grove Families,

I would like to encourage each of you to support your students in finishing the first quarter strong. Our students have averaged an 89% on their grades at the progress report which are the highest grades ever at Walnut Grove and the highest in the district.   The quarter ends Friday October 13 and we would like all students to have all their assignments in and to work on and study for the projects and tests. I would then like to invite you to our Parent Conferences Thursday October 26 from 5-7.  You will have an opportunity to meet with all you students teachers.   A flyer will go out next week with more information.  We would also like to invite you and your family to Walnut Grove’s Harvest Festival Friday October 20 from 6:30 – 9.  We will have booths, food, activities, for kids of all ages to enjoy.  Lastly I would like to invite you to participate in this year’s Cash for School Contest at the Plaza West Covina.  As I told you last week we won $2, 500 for student activities, incentives and programs by just dropping off your receipts at the mall bin near Best Buy.  The contest this year will start this weekend and go until April.

Thanks and Have a Great Weekend!

Welcome to Walnut Grove
