Welcome to the 2016/17 Walnut Grove Intermediate School Website. We are so glad that you are visiting our site, and even more excited about the opportunities and offerings we have for your children. Walnut Grove is a 7th and 8th grade Intermediate School that has less than 450 students. We are proud to be a small school where every student is known and taken care of academically and socially. We have a fabulous staff of teachers and support personnel that take interest in each of your children's' academic progress and personal maturity. We look forward to supporting students to do more deep reading, writing and discussing as we prepare them for both college and career. Please explore our website and you will find a wealth of information from teacher's assignments to activity and sports schedules. If you have any questions, concerns, or feedback for us please contact us through the website e-mail. Thank you, and enjoy the site.

Good Afternoon Walnut Grove Families,
I would like to congratulate our GATE students and GATE Coordinator Ms. Gomez for their participation in the District’s GATE exhibition this week! One of our teams placed second! And both teams did a great job. Our soccer team is also doing well as it is undefeated so far this year, and we have two home games the next two weeks. Come out and cheer our Hawks on!
Monday, February 27, we will have our PTSA Popcorn Fundraiser assembly. This is one of our top fundraisers of the year. I hope you will participate in supporting our programs and activities here at Walnut Grove. This Friday we will have our annual Square Dance, in which students will learn how to square dance during their PE classes.
8th grade parents will also be receiving their students’ PSAT results next week. We have resources on our website to help you understand the score and support your child.
Thanks and have a great weekend!
