About Us

Welcome to the 2016/17 Walnut Grove Intermediate School Website. We are so glad that you are visiting our site, and even more excited about the opportunities and offerings we have for your children. Walnut Grove is a 7th and 8th grade Intermediate School that has less than 450 students. We are proud to be a small school where every student is known and taken care of academically and socially. We have a fabulous staff of teachers and support personnel that take interest in each of your children's' academic progress and personal maturity. We look forward to supporting students to do more deep reading, writing and discussing as we prepare them for both college and career. Please explore our website and you will find a wealth of information from teacher's assignments to activity and sports schedules.  If you have any questions, concerns, or feedback for us please contact us through the website e-mail. Thank you, and enjoy the site.

Weekly Message

Good Afternoon Walnut Grove Parents,

We finished our first week of testing. The students worked diligently and took their time on the test, and we foresee that they will do well on the test. Our goals are that 50% of the students meet or exceed the standards on the test, that is perform at a level 3 or a 4, and that they increase their overall score by 50 points or more. This week students will take their Math CAASPP test and ELA Performance Task. We will have a regular schedule.  This week was the last week of the fourth quarter progress report.  Please check School Loop for your student’s progress. This upcoming week is also Teacher Appreciation Week! We have a great staff, and please let them know how much you appreciate them!

I would also like to report to you that we are still number one in the District in attendance this year with over 97% attendance. Great job!

Thanks and have a great weekend!
